(TAP) The Achievement Pitch 2026 — Venture Application

Delta Mu Mu Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. & Oglethorpe University — Hammack School of Business, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center
Your Executive Summary is part of the application — a 2–3 page PDF, and it is what selection is scored on. No pitch deck is due today; you build that after selection. If you are selected, your pitch deck and final Executive Summary are due 29 October. If you are not, 7 October was your last deadline.

marks a required field. The completeness gate names every requirement that is still outstanding, in words — you are never left to work it out from the colour of an asterisk.

Applicant information — venture lead

The lead signs the Terms & Conditions on behalf of the venture, and is the one address the committee writes to.
Will the venture lead be 18 or over on 2 November 2026? (required)
The lead signs the Terms & Conditions, so we have to ask. Being under 18 does not affect how your application is judged.

Team roster

There is no cap on team size for 2026. Every member needs a name, institution, expected graduation year, a role and a school email address — the email is what check A27 requires and what the duplicate check A4 is matched on, so a member without one cannot be checked against the other teams. Any metro Atlanta college or university qualifies — the suggestions are just the schools we visit most, so type yours if it is not listed.

The venture

0 / 50 words
Name the specific community, neighbourhood or population served. Your Executive Summary is scored on naming the community of color you reach — so be specific in both.

Venture detail

Dropdowns and short fields — no prose. These give the selection score something factual to work from.

Executive Summary

Adobe PDF only — 2–3 pages, your venture name at the bottom left of every page. This is what we select from, so take your time with it. Part B shows exactly what to cover.
Use the seven scored areas as headings. Value proposition · Target consumer and market · Social impact on a community of color · Sales and marketing strategy · Management team · Financial summary · Key milestones. A summary written under these cannot accidentally leave one out, and that — not bad writing — is how points are usually lost. The Financial summary is the one most often missing: it wants revenue and cost figures across at least a year, the assumptions behind them, and what is achieved as distinct from projected.
Open the one-page layout guide — the seven headings with what a reviewer ticks under each.

Terms & Conditions

Your application cannot be accepted until the Terms & Conditions are read in full and signed. The venture lead signs on behalf of the whole team, so every member should read this before you sign. The panel below scrolls — it can be focused with the Tab key and scrolled with the arrow keys, since signing is not unlocked until it has been read to the end.

(No) Confidentiality

Access to all submitted applications, executive summaries, and presentation materials will be given to the TAP Committee of Delta Mu Mu Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. (DMM), Oglethorpe University staff and professors, and the competition judges.

Participants should exercise care regarding disclosing information concerning proprietary concepts. Neither DMM, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., nor Oglethorpe University takes ownership of an idea or plan solely through the application or participation in TAP. Likewise, neither DMM, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., nor Oglethorpe University ensures confidentiality or nondisclosure conditions for any information submitted or presented in the TAP competition. As an applicant and potential participant, you are responsible for protecting any information concerning your plan and sharing it with DMM, Oglethorpe University, advisors, other competition participants, and Pitch attendees.

All judges are asked to keep confidential any technical or business information they learn when reviewing executive summaries and Pitches submitted and presented by participating teams. However, as mentioned, all information presented at TAP is not considered confidential.

Disclaimers

By applying and participating in TAP, you are granting DMM, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and Oglethorpe University the right to use participants' identities and the short descriptions of the business/concept disclosed in the application for marketing and public relations purposes, as with any official photographs taken by DMM/Oglethorpe University photographers during the TAP competition.

Intellectual Property

Before submitting the team’s executive summary, DMM and Oglethorpe University encourage participants to confirm with appropriate advisors, parents/guardians, and/or legal counsel that any intellectual property described in their summary and presentation is protected by the applicable intellectual property filings, notices (patent, copyright, etc.) from the owning party or individuals.

Originality of Concept

The ideas and concepts submitted by each team/venture should be the team's original work. The team is not under any agreement or restrictions prohibiting disclosing their ideas or plans in the TAP competition.

Exclusion of Liability

All participants acknowledge and agree that they are solely responsible for any and all costs and expenses incurred in connection with their participation in TAP. Such costs and expenses may include, but are not limited to, travel, meals, research, printed materials, and any other out-of-pocket expenses.

DMM, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., its affiliates, and Oglethorpe University shall not be liable for any costs incurred by participants and expressly disclaims any and all liability for damages, loss, or injury arising from or relating to a team’s participation, including any financial loss resulting from unreimbursed expenses.

Disqualification

DMM and Oglethorpe University reserve the right to disqualify a team at any point in the application, selection, submission, or judging process if the team does not meet any of the rules at the sole judgment and discretion of DMM and/or Oglethorpe University. In our sole discretion, DMM and Oglethorpe University also reserve the right to eject or ban any TAP participant or team who behaves in an inappropriate or offensive manner.

Consent and Acknowledgment of Agreement

I have read the above “TERMS & CONDITIONS” and the information package in their entirety before registering with TAP. If I register for TAP, then my registration shall be deemed to be my acceptance of these rules and regulations detailed in the information package and the associated Terms and Conditions and shall be deemed my signature and agreement on behalf of the venture. If I am under 18 years of age, then my registration shall be deemed to have the consent and permission of my parent or guardian and shall be deemed to be the signature and agreement of such parent or guardian.

Scroll to the end of the Terms & Conditions to sign.
Sign with a mouse, trackpad or finger. If you cannot use a drawing pad, write to omegadmmtap@gmail.com before the deadline and the committee will take your signature another way.

How we handle your information

We collect what is needed to judge the competition. We do not sell it, and we do not send you marketing.

What we collect. Your name, college, grade, email, mobile number and role, and the same for every team member along with their expected graduation year and school email. Your venture's name, description, impact statement, start date, stage, target community and customer. The signature you draw above — kept as an image — with your printed name and the date. Your Executive Summary PDF, and, if you are selected, your final summary and pitch deck. If the venture lead is under 18, a parent or guardian's name, email and phone.

Who sees it. The TAP committee and its reviewers, the judges for teams selected as finalists, and Oglethorpe University staff and professors. As the Terms above say plainly, submissions are not treated as confidential — read that section before you send anything you would not want discussed.

Where it is kept. In a private store. There is no public web address for any of it: your PDF, deck and signature can only be opened by someone signed in to the committee's system, or through a temporary link that expires within minutes. If you press Save draft, that copy and your resume link stay in this browser only — the committee never sees them.

How long we keep it. Through the 2026 competition and for twelve months afterwards, because a student may only be on one team per cycle and the committee reports on the programme once it is over. After that, applications and files from teams that were not finalists are deleted.

Getting it removed. Write to omegadmmtap@gmail.com from the email address on your application and ask. Asking to be removed before 5 October withdraws your application.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing beyond the use of participants' names and short venture descriptions that the Terms above describe.

Part B — scored from your Executive Summary

Your Executive Summary is scored on the seven areas the rules ask it to cover. Four observable checks each; a check is ticked when your summary states the thing, not when it impresses.
  1. E2Value propositionThe market need with evidence, your product, how it meets that need, and your competition
  2. E3Target consumer and marketWho you serve, the consumer as distinct from the payer where they differ, market size with a number, which segment comes first
  3. E4Social impactThe community of color served, the benefit, achieved vs projected, how it is measured
  4. E5Sales and marketingHow you reach customers, how they hear of you, a specific tactic, cost to acquire
  5. E6Management teamEvery member, each role, the expertise each brings, what each contributes
  6. E9Financial summaryRevenue covering at least one year, expenses covering at least one year, the assumptions behind them, achieved vs projected
  7. E10Key milestonesMilestones already reached, milestones ahead, a date on each, agreeing with your stage and financials
Seven elements · up to 5 points each · 35 in total
Your name and location, legal structure and development stage are checked rather than scored — if one is missing you are told, and can add it before the deadline.
Opens only to the selected teams, after notification on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. Both files are due Thursday, 29 October 2026, 1:00 PM EST. Late or missing files disqualify the team.
